About Me
Hi, I'm Gábor Nagy — a graphic designer with over 10 years of experience in branding and motion design. My career actually began as an ActionScript developer, which gave me a programmer's mindset — something that continues to shape how I approach design and problem-solving today. My passion for digital creation dates back to my childhood in the '80s when I first experimented with a Commodore 64 — and ever since, I've believed that creation is the essence of life.
From printing houses to advertising agencies, I've honed my skills across diverse creative fields and had the privilege of designing for global brands like Porsche, Audi, Siemens, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and ASUS, as well as for ambitious small and mid-sized companies seeking high-quality visual identity and marketing design solutions.
The name kosmicdoom captures my philosophy: creation is infinite (kosmic), yet life is finite (doom). It's a call to use our limited time to create something meaningful. My minimalist “kd” logo — short for kosmicdoom — resembles five monoliths forming a bold symbol that represents my love for Metal music, the sci-fi genre, and geometric harmony. Starting the word with k instead of c linguistically reflects my Hungarian roots — an echo of a culture where hard work, lifelong learning, and perseverance are essential in a region where you learn to build your own opportunities rather than being born into them.
Designing isn't just a profession — it's part of who I am. I believe everyone has a spark of creativity, and my mission is to use mine to connect people with ideas, emotions, and meaning through design. I created this designer portfolio for companies and marketing professionals who value creativity, strategy, and authenticity. If you like what I do or have a vision you'd like to bring to life, feel free to reach out — I'd be happy to collaborate. Together, we can merge vision with precision and turn ideas into something extraordinary.
